The following is a collection of tidbits gathered throughout the weekend of the NCAA softball regional in Norman:

• Kinzie Hansen was noticeably absent for most of the Norman regional — she did have one at-bat against Texas A&M in Oklahoma’s 3-2 win on Saturday. It’s nothing major, but the Sooners rested their starting catcher due to a “tweak of the ankle,” OU coach Patty Gasso said. More from Gasso: “Just thought we could give her this weekend off and get her ready for next week, trusting that we were going to do our job. And that's what this team knew they needed to do.”

• …So, what about Jordy Bahl? “We needed to also give Jordy this weekend off, and she is doing some movement. We are just going to remain hopeful that she's going to be ready to go.”
